Mike Reid

Co-Founder · Lead Yoga Instructor

"I don't want students to become dependent on me. I want to help them become their own best teacher."

For more than 20 years, Mike has dedicated his career to helping people learn, grow, and discover what they're capable of. As an educator, coach, and yoga instructor, he believes the most meaningful learning happens when people are given the confidence to think for themselves—not simply follow someone else's path.

That philosophy shapes every class he teaches.

Mike's approach blends thoughtful movement, practical education, and genuine curiosity. Rather than striving for perfection, he encourages students to listen to their own bodies, explore movement with intention, and build a practice that supports them both on and off the mat.

Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or continuing a lifelong practice, Mike's goal is simple: to create an environment where you feel welcomed, challenged, and supported exactly where you are.

As Co-Founder of YogaRevolution, Mike has helped build a studio culture centered on community, lifelong learning, and personal growth. His classes combine strength, mobility, breath awareness, and mindful movement while always leaving room for individual choice, curiosity, and exploration.

When he's not teaching, Mike continues to study movement, education, leadership, and human performance, always looking for new ways to better support the people who trust him with their practice.

Above all, Mike believes that great teaching isn't about creating perfect students; it's about helping people develop the confidence to trust themselves.

He believes yoga isn't about becoming someone different. It's about becoming more fully yourself.

What You Can Expect in Mike's Classes

  • Clear, practical instruction
  • Encouragement without pressure
  • Space to explore what works for your body
  • A balance of strength, mobility, and mindfulness
  • The reminder that yoga is a practice—not a performance

Mike's Teaching Philosophy

"Take what you want, leave the rest. Listen to your body first, me second."

Qualifications: Canadian Yoga Alliance 550-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher (CYA550) • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

With Light, Love, and Gratitude. Namaste.

Vanessa Yamazaki

Co-Founder · Lead Yoga Instructor

Yoga has been part of my life since 2013, when it became my lifeline through loss and my path to healing. Over the years, I’ve learned how to create a safe, supportive space where everyone can explore what yoga means in their body.

At YogaRevolution, you don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or “know what you’re doing." You just need to show up as you are. My classes are designed to meet you where you’re at, guide you safely, and help you leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected.

I believe yoga is for every body, and I’m here to help you find the version of the practice that works for you.

Viktoriia Nekhaieva

Instructor

Yoga has been a big part of my life for over 7 years. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teaching Training.

Growing up in the Ukraine, I have always been passionate about sports, running and functional training to maintain physical and mental health. Practicing yoga is not just only physical movement, but a pathway for deep healing, self-acceptance, and spiritual growth. Practicing conscious movements in yoga, meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) keep me focused and in the present moment; it results in the powerful and life-changing effects to be healthier and to have a happier lifestyle.

Yoga is a path of self-discovery, giving us the opportunity to continually transform the Self and access points to personal freedom. This is what I want to offer to the world and I am always eager to broaden and deepen my own knowledge. Teaching yoga is my true path in life. Included in this, in 2022, I created and offered Karma Yoga class for the Ukrainian community, providing them an opportunity to practice yoga and socialize afterwards.

I create and guide classes with creative, mindful sequencing, breath cueing, and reminders to be present in the moment to invite balance and a deep sense of calm. My goal is for students to find strength, inspiration, inner peace and to reach their maximum human potential.

Christina Johnson

Instructor

Chris Johnson is a wellness practitioner, registered social worker, and proud mom of two amazing kids and one beloved dog. With more than 20 years of personal yoga practice and over 7 years of teaching experience, Chris is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to step into themselves.

Her background in trauma‑focused social work deeply influences her approach to yoga. She believes that movement, breath, and mindfulness offer powerful ways to restore balance, resilience, and connection, both within ourselves and in our communities. Chris also has a deep passion for traditional yoga studies and loves exploring the intersection where ancient yogic wisdom meets modern-day science.

A self‑described recovering perfectionist, Chris found that yoga gave her permission to slow down, let go, and come back home to herself. That experience inspired her to explore advanced studies in Ayurveda, Polyvagal‑informed Yoga, Body Yantra, and Tantra, modalities that guide her classes today.

Chris’s teaching style is gentle, strong, grounding, and heart‑centered. She invites students to move with curiosity and compassion, to release what no longer serves, and to nurture self‑love and authentic connection, both on and off the mat.

First of all, I am a mom to 2 amazing children and a black cat.

Next, I look forward to bringing everything I have learned and sharing it with everyone, by inviting us all to get creative and curious about our bodies and breath. Yoga is so much more than poses. After many years in the fitness industry, life has brought me to yoga, where I have found a deeper connection to my body and breath. I believe it is never too late to do something if you really want to - don't let anyone stop you from reaching out and experiencing life.
