Before you begin.
Everything we get asked before a first class.
Before your first visit.
If your question isn’t here, contact us. We’re always happy to help you choose the right place to begin.
Absolutely. Many of our students began their yoga journey with us. Our instructors provide options throughout every class, encouraging you to work at your own pace and honour your body. Whether it's your first class or your hundredth, you'll be welcomed and supported every step of the way.
The best class depends on your goals, experience, and what you're looking to get out of your practice. Our class guide gives an overview of each practice, or contact us, we're always happy to help you choose the right place to begin.
Not at all. While some classes may be more physically challenging than others, every class encourages you to work within your own abilities. Our instructors offer modifications and guidance to help you build confidence over time.
Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel if you're attending a heated class. If you don't have your own equipment, yoga mats and towels are available to rent, and a variety of retail options are available in our boutique.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Moisture-wicking athletic clothing is recommended for heated classes, while any comfortable activewear works well for warm and non-heated classes.
We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes before your first class and about 5 to 10 minutes before future visits. This gives you time to check in, get settled, and begin your practice feeling relaxed.
Yes. Yoga mats and towels are available to rent if needed, and we also carry a carefully curated selection of yoga mats, towels, props, and wellness accessories in our boutique. As an Authorized lululemon Retailer, we offer a thoughtfully curated collection of apparel and wellness products from brands we know and trust, including b,halfmoon, makers of some of the highest-rated yoga mats for heated practice, Love My Mat, Fern & Petal, TruMe, and Olive Tree People. We're proud to support Canadian companies whenever possible, with many of the brands we carry being Canadian-owned.
It's completely normal to feel a little nervous before trying something new. Many of our students felt exactly the same way before walking through our doors for the first time. From the moment you arrive, our goal is to help you feel welcome, comfortable, and supported. We'll show you around the studio, answer your questions, and help you get settled so you can simply enjoy your practice. Every experienced yogi was once a beginner, and we'd be honoured to be part of your journey.
About our classes.
Hot yoga is practiced in a heated room designed to support mobility, circulation, and mindful movement. At YogaRevolution, we use infrared heating technology to create a comfortable, consistent environment while offering a variety of class styles for different experience levels and goals.
Our class temperatures vary depending on the style of practice and are designed to gradually build throughout the class. Our infrared-heated Flow classes typically build to a maximum of approximately 38 °C, while Hot 26 classes may build to approximately 42 °C. We also offer warm and non-heated classes throughout the week, so there's a practice for every comfort level. Rather than artificially adding humidity, our infrared-heated studio allows humidity to fluctuate naturally based on seasonal conditions and class size, creating an authentic heated yoga experience.
Yes. While we're known for our infrared-heated studio, we also offer warm and non-heated classes, including Hatha, Yin, Rest & Relax, and other practices throughout the week.
That's completely okay. Yoga is about listening to your body. You're always welcome to slow down, rest, hydrate, or step out of the room if needed. Our instructors encourage you to honour your body rather than push beyond your limits.
Absolutely. If you need a break, feel lightheaded, or simply need a moment to cool down, you're welcome to leave the room and return whenever you feel ready.
Consistency is more important than frequency. For many people, practicing two to three times per week provides noticeable benefits. Whether you practice once a week or every day, regular attendance helps build strength, mobility, balance, and overall wellbeing.
Health & safety.
If you have any medical conditions or concerns, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before attending class. Be sure to let your instructor know before class begins so they can help you modify your practice if needed. We also offer warm and non-heated classes if you prefer a cooler environment.
A light snack one to two hours before class is usually best. Many students prefer to avoid large meals immediately before practicing, especially for heated classes. For heated classes, we encourage pre-hydration. Arriving well hydrated, and considering electrolytes before class, particularly if you perspire heavily, can help you feel your best during practice. Because heated classes naturally increase perspiration, we also recommend continuing to hydrate during and after class.
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before participating. Heated classes are generally not recommended during pregnancy. We would be happy to help you find a class that better supports your needs.
Building your practice.
Yoga offers benefits that extend beyond flexibility. A consistent practice can improve strength, mobility, balance, posture, breathing, stress management, focus, and overall wellbeing. Many students also find that yoga supports greater confidence, resilience, and self-awareness in everyday life.
You don't need to be flexible to begin yoga. In fact, yoga is one of the best ways to improve flexibility over time. Every body is different, and our instructors encourage you to work with your body, not compare it to anyone else's.
Everyone's journey is different. Some people notice improvements after just a few classes, while others experience gradual changes over time. With consistent practice, you'll likely notice improvements in mobility, strength, balance, energy, and overall wellbeing.
